HI all,

Well we had an amazing weekend! Praise God! Great ABBA party on Saturday night and a wonderful day on Sunday both morning and evening: heart felt worship, real sense of community, lots of new people and a real sense of commitment with people signing up to join teams and to serve the church in different ways. I loved every minute. Must have been over 700 people attending all three events put together (not 700 different people, quite a few were there 2 or 3 times!).

Anyway, God bless you and thanks for all you did/are doing at The Point! Give us some feedback - encouragements or ideas!

Will

Aaaarrgghhh....so sad to have missed it. The photos on The Points Facebook Group look amazing. Respect to all those who dressed up. Hope to get along to a party when our girls are a bit older.

Hi Will

I've only started viewing blogs in the last few months but think they are a very good means of communication. Sharing comments from others on your blog will be interesting to see how it goes - hopefully postings will be positive/constructive (as you have asked)

I think the stage is good (but being short I would!!) seriously much easier to see the speaker / worship group / drama etc at the front. Again screens good.

As I understand it - some people have researched it - if you have more than 7 rows of seats and there are screens people will view the screens rather than look at the person direct (larger / clearer image). It was tested by a minister who had pre-recorded tape running to the screens which showed him moving about the stage giving his talk. He actually stood still after a while + stopped talking but the tape rolled on and all but a very few in the congregation realised - making the point that, in theory, most of the congregation will use and benefit from the screens with the new set up.
